Henna for Hair!

Natural henna is a green color powder generated from crushing and grinding the henna leaves. This type of henna has a chrysophanic acid, an antifungal & antimicrobial property. It is used to dye the hair or to create temporary body art. When used in hair, it makes the hair shiny & bouncy besides giving it a dark brown tinge.    


§  Conditions the hair & protects from harmful sun rays.
§  Henna colors do not damage the hair instead it provides a good texture.
§  Henna keeps the hair dandruff free & its tinge stays in the hair from 60 to 90 days.

Some tips to use henna on hair
  • Apply coconut or olive oil in your hair before any henna application. This helps in retaining the moisture in the hair and prevents dryness caused due to henna application.
  • Use iron bowl to prepare henna paste as iron forms a blackish pigment & gives a better tinge to the hair color. 
  • Allow henna application to stay in your hair for 3- 4 hours to get a better hair color.
  • To prevent dryness or brittleness, you can also mix curd to the henna paste.
  • Before applying henna, put some Vaseline around the forehead & the ears to avoid any skin stain.
  • The use of shikakai, lemon juice, reeta can also be added in the henna paste to camouflage the damage caused due to chemical treatments in hair.
  • Add coffee powder or tea decoction to the henna mixture for a brighter hair color shade.
